Writing a Book? Or Want to Publish One?

Are you:

Getting bogged down in the muddy middle?

Confused about next steps?

Overwhelmed about publishing options?

Hi! I'm Alice Briggs, and I can help you.

For years now, I’ve been coaching new authors as a book interior and cover designer at Kingdom Covers. I’ve been asked more and more recently if I offered book production and publishing coaching.

I’ve decided that I need to answer the call and am opening a limited number of spots in a beta Persevering Ink Coaching Cohort.

I’m drawing on my experience in publishing more than 30 books in multiple formats, the Creative Director of Indie Author Magazine, and inner healing practitioner to create a unique book coaching experience for you to help you eliminate resistance and gain the tools and strategies you need to successfully indie publish your book!

You can find most of my books where ever books are sold, and my work as a book designer at Kingdom Covers.

My specialties include nonfiction such as:

  • Books as referral tools for businesses that increase the quantity and quality of clients.
  • Art books for artists to display and market their work to potential clients and the trade.
  • Journals, planners, and other graphics intense participatory books.
  • Children’s picture books.
  • And, I am connected to many other writers and editors who are experts in helping writers craft a fabulous fiction tale.

Is this for you?

  • Are you new to independent or self-publishing?
  • Do you need extra encouragement to finish your book?
  • Do you need clarity with all the options of KU, wide, KDP, IS, D2D, etc.?
  • Do you work better with accountability and encouragement?
  • Do you hit mental or emotional roadblocks that derail your progress?

What's involved?

  • 12 weeks of small group coaching
  • Personal goal setting
  • Weekly email check-ins
  • Group Zoom calls
  • Cohort Community
  • Tips and tools to overcome those mental and emotional roadblocks so you achieve your goals.

Other coaching programs require an investment of $500-$2000 per month. Most are either one-on-one on the higher end of that scale or classes with little to no interaction with the instructor. Classes are less expensive, of course, but not always as helpful as you hope. I’ve been a part of various types of programs in various fields, and the ones that were the best fit for me were those with a small group. So often others in the group were asking questions I never thought to ask and that helped me succeed.

Spots in this inaugural beta cohort are only $500 for the entire 12 weeks. But by application only. I want to have the best mix of people possible for each cohort.

Most frequent questions and answers

Currently, cohorts will begin on the first of April and October.

Applicants chosen for each cohort will be notified by the 15th of the month prior to the start of the cohort.

A maximum of 20 people will be in each cohort.

Wednesdays. Either the 1st and 3rd or 2nd and 4th depending on which cohort. Time will depend on your particular cohort.

This depends on your goals and desires for the session. It’s better to be honest with yourself  with what is possible and make steady progress, than to set yourself up for failure by setting an impossible standard for you to meet. The more time you have, the faster you can progress, but slow and steady will get there in the end.

At the beginning of the cohort, I’ll ask you to set some goals and let me know what they are. Each week during the cohorts, I’ll check in with you via email on your progress. I’m looking forward to celebrating your achievements!

At the end of the cohort, you’ll have the option to join a new cohort – or if most of the cohort wants to continue, we can discuss that, too.

Well, if I told you that, they wouldn’t be a surprise! But, you might want to be sure and use your best mailing list when I ask for it though…

Yes. I also have custom individual coaching packages available. You can find that application here.

Not ready to apply? No problem, sign up below and I’ll send you reminders when new cohorts are being chosen.
